Sunrise Swirl Pupsicles 

A 3-ingredient, Tequila-Sunrise inspired Pupsicle recipe, made with whole ingredients only!

A healthy, no sugar-added pupsicle for dogs that's perfect for beating the heat and keeping them occupied. These cute (alcohol-free), tequila-sunrise-inspired pupsicles provide your dog with essential vitamins and minerals and are super easy to make with ingredients you likely already have at home!

Ingredients:

  • 1 large sweet potato
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 ice cube tray or popsicle mold

Instructions:

  1. Roast the Sweet Potato:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
    • Wash and prick the sweet potato with a fork.
    • Wrap the sweet potato in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
    • Roast for 45-60 minutes until it's tender.
    • Once cooked, let the sweet potato cool, then peel and mash it into a smooth consistency. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Strawberry Purée:

    • Wash the strawberries and remove the stems.
    • Blend the strawberries in a blender or food processor until smooth. If you don't have a blender, you can mash the strawberries with a fork until smooth. Set aside.
  3. Blend the Blueberries:

    • Wash the blueberries thoroughly.
    • Blend the blueberries until smooth. If you don't have a blender, you can mash the blueberries with a fork until smooth. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the Pupsicles:

    • Begin by spooning a layer of blueberry purée into the bottom of each pupsicle mold.
    • Add a layer of strawberry purée on top of the blueberries.
    • Finally, add a layer of the mashed sweet potato.
  5. Freeze:

    • Place the molds in the freezer and let the pupsicles freeze for at least 4 hours, or until fully solid.
  6. Serve:

    • Once frozen, remove the pupsicles from the molds and enjoy your tequila sunrise-inspired pupsicles! A serving size is 2-3 pupsicles.

Note: These pupsicles capture the colors and layers of a tequila sunrise cocktail, with a fruity and sweet flavor that dogs will love.
