Easy 3 Ingredient Treat Recipes To Make At Home For Your Dog – Homemade Pupsicles For Summer

Summer days are filled with picnics, beach trips, vacations, and refillable cold beverages.  But the heat of the summer months are also inflicted with blaring temperatures and coasting indoors in an AC environment.  Mid-day hours during heat waves could be miserable.

It is even more taxing on our pets who cannot express their discomfort.  Keep your pets in the shade and in a cool environment are a few of the easy tactics for your dog to chillout.  We have some fun and easy recipes you can throw together at home for your pet to keep them relaxed during the hot summer.  These homemade dog treat popsicles do not require anything fancy and can be whipped up within minutes.

Fruit Chiller Dog Treat

Ingredients:

Apple

Banana

Water

This simple dog treat recipe can be found from items found in your kitchen.  Start off by slicing the apple and banana into small pieces.  You can leave the peel on the apple but be sure to not include the apple seeds – those are not good for your dog.  Place a few pieces of each into an ice cube tray and fill the tray with water.  Pop the tray into the freezer for less than an hour and you should have popsicle frozen treats.

Pumpkin Pupsicle

Ingredients:

Pumpkin puree

Banana

Peanut Butter

Mix pumpkin puree, banana, and peanut butter lightly together in a bowl.  If you do not have pumpkin puree, you can substitute with plain yogurt.  The ingredients do not need to be finely mixed but incorporated lightly so that every bite includes a taste of all the flavors.  Place the mixture into an ice cube or popsicle tray for an hour. Once they are firm to the touch, pop the treats from the tray for your dog to enjoy the homemade dog treats!

Both treat recipes are effortless to make for your dog.  Without any animal products, they are simple and healthy vegan homemade treats for your pup.  You will not need to run to the store because these ingredients are most likely in your refrigerator or cabinet.  You can substitute or add in yogurt to give it a tang and digestive boost.  Nibble on and chill out with your four-legged friend!
